Academics

The academic year is based on the CBSE guidelines and is w.e.f. from April to March. The school year consists of two semesters:

Semester I: April to September.

Semester 2: October to March (to check from school).

The proposed teacher student ratio is 1:12 in the primary, and 1:20 in other classes.

Curriculum

We are a CBSE school and follow the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) pattern for the overall assessment of the child.

We follow CCE/FAs/SAs/project work as a part of the ongoing assessment of every child. A sound evaluation and assessment system has been designed to form an integral part of day-to-day learning and can be implemented during the normal course of the teaching-learning process to maximise students’ learning. Learning milestones are a healthy blend of both formative and summative components of assessment. In order to cater to individual learning potential, three levels of worksheets – Acceptance, Balance and Challenge – are planned. The assessment manual provided is appreciative and motivating rather than critical. It also includes detailed and timely feedback with remedial measures. The Millennium School has personalised Performance Enhancement Plans (PEP), which are remedial measures for the learners. They ensure that learning gaps, if any, are bridged before the child is taken to the next level of the concept. To help bridge the gap, a set of remedial books called ‘PEP Tool’ has been designed by the Education Quality Foundation of India’s Research and Development Team.
i. We have a specially designed curriculum, The Millennium Learning System™ (MLS), mapped to the requirements of the National Curriculum Framework 2005/CBSE guidelines and the NCERT Syllabus.
ii. This has been developed by the Research and Development team of the Education Quality Foundation of India after years of research.
iii. The goal of our curriculum is to open minds and break the boundaries confining learning.
iv. It caters to the needs of all types of learners, allowing them to learn at their own pace.
v. It is interactive and experiential in its approach, providing them with a joyful learning experience.
vi. Our specialised teaching strategies and collaborative work in classrooms ensure that our children are able to think for themselves and apply their learning to real-life situations.
The Millennium Learning System™ (MLS) is a proprietary pedagogy based on experiential learning, value- based education, and holistic development tailored to every age group.
